IT‑Consult Halle: Successful implementation of a scalable strategy process

IT-Consult Halle. How a Sustainable Strategy Process Created Clarity and Team Cohesion

IT‑Consult Halle, together with Punkt Punkt Punkt, established between June 2024 and January 2026 a scalable strategy process that combines purpose, a BPMN process model and 3–4 month sprint cycles to ensure transparency, shared alignment and consistent execution.

Summary

From June 2024 to September 2025, with ongoing support, Punkt Punkt Punkt assisted the eight-member leadership team of IT-Consult Halle in seven workshops and four online coaching sessions to date. The goal was to build a transparent, lasting strategy process that provides orientation and sustainably strengthens organizational development.
The result: greater clarity, a shared language, more focused collaboration, and a strategic implementation that truly takes hold in day-to-day work.

Initial Situation & Objectives

Initial Situation

IT-Consult Halle aimed to establish a scalable strategy process that reliably links long-term company goals with operational reality.
The leadership team needed a shared framework, clear terminology, and consistent communication across the organization.

Project Objectives

  • Establish a sustainable and repeatable strategy process
  • Build a shared understanding and glossary for the term “strategy”
  • Develop a strong Purpose and Vision
  • Model the strategy process using BPMN 2.0 for transparency
  • Translate annual goals into 3–4-month sprint goals and integrate them into team routines

Approach

Punkt Punkt Punkt structured the project into five consecutive phases:

1. Clarifying Key Terms

Creation of a shared glossary and practical definitions for all strategy-related terms. Forming the foundation for aligned collaboration.

2. Developing Purpose & Vision

Co-creation of a clear purpose statement and a forward-looking vision to guide strategic direction.

3. BPMN Process Modeling

Visualization of the entire strategy process using BPMN 2.0, including decision points, communication flows, and feedback loops.

4. Defining Annual Goals

Formulation of measurable, realistic goals using clear criteria.

5. Sprint-Based Implementation

Breaking annual goals into 3–4-month sprint cycles and embedding new routines into the team’s operational rhythm.
